The Eterno collection is inspired by the ancient Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban (literally “burned wooden plank”), a completely natural process that involves scorching the surfaces of wooden boards to make them more durable, especially for outdoor use. This creates an utterly original wood-look ceramic surface where the burn marks are enhanced by the application of contrasting glossy glazes to create exquisite patterns that are ideal for decorating floors and walls in luxury interiors. Versace’s exclusive signature patterns also coordinate effectively with the surfaces to create contrasting decorations, coffered layouts and tone-on-tone inlays.
